Medical Device Electronics Engineer

Remote (DFW Area Preferred)

At the forefront of innovation in vein visualization, we're seeking a talented and driven Electronics Engineer to support the development and sustainment of our advanced electronics- and optoelectronics-based devices. In this pivotal role, you'll work on impactful projects-from cost-saving redesigns to resolving real-world quality challenges-while collaborating across cross-functional teams in San Jose and global contract manufacturing sites. We require you to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
  • 2-5 years in medical devices regulated industries, with a solid background in production and sustaining engineering
  • Deep understanding of medical device QMS, supplier management, and regulatory standards (preferred)
  • Proficient in circuit/PCB design (Altium), SMT processes, PCB inspection, and statistical tools like Minitab; experienced with PLM systems (Arena, Agile)
  • Solid problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, especially with remote teams; capable of managing international suppliers and occasional travel as needed

Your responsibilities as the Medical Electronics Engineer will include:
  • Drive electronics and optoelectronics improvements through analysis, troubleshooting, and redesign to meet quality and reliability targets
  • Lead process and product quality initiatives, including root cause analysis, CAPA/SCAR management, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Support manufacturing and new product transfers, including process qualifications and collaboration with contract manufacturers and suppliers
  • Develop and validate engineering documentation, including design verifications, control plans (CTQs, CPPs, SPC), and FMEAs
  • Apply statistical methods and data analysis to monitor trends, optimize processes, and inform engineering decisions and reporting to senior leadership
