Job Description

Colossus Bread in Anaheim, CA is looking for seasonal bakers to join our passionate baking team! While our locations are located in Long Beach and San Pedro, our new dedicated bakery commissary is located in Downtown Anaheim, about a block away from the Anaheim Packing House.

Our bakery is best known for our flaky croissant pastries and high hydration sourdough bread. We bake for our two cafes and also wholesale our breads and pastries all across, Orange County, Long Beach and beyond!

Responsibilities

• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately, knowledge of metric system (grams and kilos)
• Proofing and baking of pastries and croissants
• Mixing, Shaping + Baking of artisan sourdough bread
• Knowledge of and experience dough handling
• Experience monitoring dough fermentation and proofing temperatures
• Inventory control, quality control
• Proper cleaning and sanitation standards

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in all aspects of baking
• Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
• 1 + year professional cooking or baking experience or culinary school equivalent
• French pastry and bread experience is helpful
• Must be able to receive regular constructive feedback and adjust to the needs of the bakery and team

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for up to 8 hours during a shift
• Servsafe required
• Reliable transportation to our commissary bakery space in Anaheim, CA
• Love of early morning hours, some shifts start as early as 1 AM, and end as early as 9 AM
